How will funds raised through the Challenge Day Fundraising Drive be used?
Unfortunately, the school’s budget is extremely limited and Renaissance relies on fundraising efforts to provide essential support and materials. For example, fundraising dollars have allowed the school to maintain a 1:1 student/technology ratio, fund two educational assistants, and purchase buses that provide transportation for fieldwork and voyages.  The Challenge Day Fundraising drive will fund:
Technology Rejuvenation Needs:
  • Replace outdated iPads in first grade
  • Replace obsolete ChromeBooks, Document Cameras and LCD Projectors
  • Software licenses and educational apps
  • Provide assistance with student fees to families based on financial need
Instructional Materials Needs:
  • Teacher resource materials for Reading/Writing
  • Student Math consumables
  • Keyboards for Music Program
  • Visual Arts display panels and shelving
  • Auto-belayers for Climbing in PE
  • We’ve got our eye on an Aerial Arts program for Renaissance as well. This is pending but, if approved, funds will be needed for materials.
