Renaissance Enrollment Process

**Renaissance is currently full for the 2019-20 school year.** 
We are not accepting any new students.
District Open Enrollment Window
November 1st - December 2nd
(Second Round runs January 22, 2020 - August 3, 2020)
Current Families Wanting to Enroll a Sibling:
In order to be placed in the Renaissance Lottery you must do the following:
1. Complete the REMS Sibling Enrollment Form located on this page
AND
2. Complete the DCSD Open Enrollment Process.
Prospective Families:
In order to be placed in the Renaissance Lottery you must do the following:
1. Attend a Renaissance Orientation (listed below) or have attended an orientation within the past 2 years. 
AND
2. Complete the DCSD Open Enrollment Process.
Renaissance Orientation:
The purpose of the orientation is to provide parents with detailed information about Renaissance in order to make sure it is the right choice for your student and family.
If you have attended an orientation within the last two years you do not need to attend another orientation (please email our Registrar, Sheila Marino at sheila.marino1@dcsdk12.org, with your name and orientation year so we can verify your attendance. Please allow one week for a response email). 
 
Orientations are for parents only; please have at least one parent attend an Orientation and plan to stay the full hour.
The last half-hour will be dedicated to Questions and Answers.

  • In the event of inclement weather, Renaissance will follow the Douglas County School District protocol on weather closures. 

  • In the event that school is closed or after-school activities are cancelled, the Parent Orientation will also be cancelled. You may then sign up for another orientation date that works for you. 

  • Renaissance is part of the Douglas County High School feeder area - Castle Rock.

2020-2021 New Families

 

First Round Lottery Families will be notified via EngagED Parent Portal by December 11th.

You have until December 18th until 4pm to accept.

Enrollment Information

REMS follows District & Board Policy regarding Open Enrollment for First and Second Round. Applicants are chosen in a lottery with priorities as follows:
FIRST PRIORITY
Resident Siblings of Students Currently Enrolled at REMS
SECOND PRIORITY
Student Applicants who Live at the Household Address of DCSD Staff
THIRD PRIORITY
(District mandated priority)
Student Applicants who are residents within the District
FOURTH PRIORITY
(District mandated priority)
Student Applicants who are not residents within the District.
Once spots open in a given grade, lotteries are drawn based on the above Priorities, as well as Orientation Attendance.
ONLY APPLICANTS WHO HAVE ATTENDED AN ORIENTATION WITHIN THE PAST 2 SCHOOL YEARS ARE ELIGIBLE FOR THE REMS LOTTERY.
Applicants who have not met the above requirement will not be considered for enrollment.
2nd Round Enrollment
Applicants enrolling in the 2nd round will be listed 1st come, 1st served behind the Round 1 Waitlist. For Second Round enrollment, families will be notified by phone and/or email if they are selected. 
Per District policy;
Second Round applications will be time stamped and processed on a "first-come, first served" basis behind the first round applications that were not accepted and were added to the annual prioritized list.
