Meet

Mr. Bob

I am a native of Palo Alto, California where there were once fruit orchards and farms I used as a playground, not a landscape of Google, Apple and Facebook campuses that exists today. Okay, it is still a beautiful area to spend on vacation, just a little hectic. I followed the high tech journey from Silicon Valley to Silicon Mountain (Colorado Springs as it was known in the 80’s) and enjoyed a thrilling career in semiconductor manufacturing until I retired in 2016. My wonderful daughter (your very awesome school social worker, Allison Armour) used a little inside pull to get me a part time job at Renaissance after only one year of retirement; and I am so thankful! Bonus alert, I am able to see my two grandchildren every school day as well.

I love being with young people. I have coached many girls and boys sports teams and so enjoy the failures and successes that allow our teams to grow. I love involving our Renaissance students in caring for the OLE and playground (thank you Ms. Carmen’s crew and their parents for supporting our tree watering project) and teaching students basic life skills and accountability.

Ms. Trena mentioned a few years ago that I can work at Renaissance until I’m “80”; I hope to take her up on that offer!
