Elisha Giger

Literacy Specialist

Meet

Ms. Elisha

To say that I love Renaissance would be an understatement! This will be my 16th year as part of the Renaissance Crew. I began my journey here as a classroom teacher, taught Special Education for a few years, and then moved into the Literacy Interventionist role several years ago. I am passionate about teaching reading and believe that when students receive early intervention they can become life-long readers.

I completed my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education at the University of Northern Colorado and obtained my Master’s degree in Reading through Regis University. I hold a license as a Reading Specialist and a Special Education Teacher. In addition, I am trained in Orton Gillingham Reading Instruction.

My husband, Tom, and I live on the eastern plains of Colorado where we raise our two children, Brayden and Emmy. In my spare time you can find me spending time with my family and friends, attending sporting events, taking walks, and exploring all Colorado has to offer.
