Tori Cooper

5th Grade

Meet

Ms. Tori

My name is Tori Cooper, and I am thrilled to be part of the Crew at Renaissance Expeditionary Magnet School. I love the sense of community at REMS, the focus on Expeditionary Learning and Adventure Education, and partnering with families. I have been teaching in Douglas County School District since January 2015. I have taught 3rd, 3/4 combination class,  4th grade, and now 5th grade! I look forward to getting to know you and your students this year!

Growing up, I always knew I wanted to be a teacher.  I had several amazing teachers who took the time to get to know me. I aspire to be a teacher who can create hands-on learning experiences and develop a love of learning in my students. I desire to create a classroom community where all students feel welcomed and involved.

When I'm not in the classroom, I love exploring the natural beauty of Colorado. I’m originally from Kansas City, and I also had the opportunity to live in Portland, OR, during high school before settling in Colorado with my family in 2009. This summer, I indulged in my hobbies of cooking and baking and enjoyed quality time with friends over board games and good food.
