Meet Ms. Tori!

My name is Tori Cooper and I am thrilled to be at Renaissance this year. I love the sense of community at REMS, the focus on teaching the whole child, and partnering with families. I have been teaching in Douglas County School District since January 2015. I have taught 3rd grade, 3/4 combination class, and 4th grade. 

 

Growing up I had several amazing teachers who took the time to get to know me. I aspire to be a teacher who can create hands on learning experiences and develop a love of learning in my students. I desire to create a classroom community where all students feel welcome and involved. 

In my free time, I enjoy spending time in the wonderful state of Colorado. I grew up in Kansas City, lived in Portland, OR for part of High School and then I moved to Colorado with my family in 2009. This summer I was able to spend extra time cooking and baking, playing board games, paddle boarding with friends, and I was able to have conversations with friends over delicious food.
