Meet Ms. Carmen!
 

Hello, I’m Mrs. Roberts and I am so grateful to be here experiencing growth and connection along with the REMS Crew! I am a firm believer that any experience can bring inspiration, growth, or both! I am here to help my students learn from both their mistakes and their successes alike!

I grew up on a small country farm with four siblings, loving all the animals, riding horseback, gardening, exploring the woods and swimming in the lake on hot summer days. Being homeschooled for several years preceding highschool, I was able to experience my classes in a hands-on, trailblazing, out of the box kind of way! This has made teaching here at REMS such an exciting fulfillment and extension of who I am at heart!

During my high school years at a private christian school, I was introduced to some amazing teachers and mentors. I was inspired to pursue a career of teaching and later, graduated from Union College with my degree in Elementary Education. I have felt so privileged to spend my days in the classroom learning, growing, and flourishing alongside my students.

Outside of the classroom I get to spend time with my supportive husband, Jamie! We love adventuring out on weekend camping trips, kayaking, hiking and biking in nature! We have also loved trying new restaurants and supporting small local shops in the surrounding area. I have deep family roots here, so making the move last year felt so natural and we have never felt more at home! We are very pleased to be part of such a loving, supportive community!
